Job Description
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
 
  • Own and drive implementation of Mining innovation portfolio
  • Drive the Mining customer segment level technology strategy development and implementation; and contribute to Oil and Mining segment Technology strategy development
  • Develop and implement personnel and equipment competence development plan
  • Act as an active member of Mining customer segment management team and lead customer segment R&D management team
  • Develop customer segment specific innovation target setting and budgeting
  • Cooperate with marketing and production to initiate new projects and programs within own segment, and possibly on cross-segment  level
  • Drive initiatives to develop new products and lead related commercialization efforts
  • Optimize resource utilization within own customer segment and participate actively in resource management between customer segments and platforms
  • Participate in project and program steering groups
  • Drive assigned product line synergies across customer segments and segments
  • Develop workforce planning for the Mining customer segment
  • Ensure development of customer segment specific competences
  • Identify and develop relationships with relevant industry cluster partners and clients actively and on a global level
  • Contribute to strategic cooperation agreements related to the Mining customer segment and ensure that IPR and business aspects are in line with company targets and way of working
  • Cultivate the global R&D community culture and way of working
  • Assist company business development specialists with bringing new products on stream
Working Experience and Education:
 
  • PhD/MSc degree in Chemistry, Mineral Processing or similar discipline
  • Minimum of 5 years’ industrial experience

  • Demonstrated broad knowledge in technical area hydrometallurgy or other mineral processes
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong customer orientation, ability to develop strategic relationships, cultural interpersonal effectiveness, and communicating with impact
