Job Description
Overview: Our Food Manufacturing client is seeking a Plant Manager for their New Ulm, MN facility. This Manager will oversee daily operations from production and manufacturing insuring policies and procedures are being followed. Experience and Education Requirements:
  • 10+ years' Plant Management related experience in a food processing or manufacturing setting.
  • B.S. degree preferred but not required
  • Strong people and floor leadership experience
  • Strong examples of safety and retention improvements.
  • Demonstrated track record of achieving results against a comprehensive set of KPIs.
  • Exceptional time management, and strong attention to detail, verbal and written communication skills, listening, decision-making, and organization skills required.
  • Previous Plant Manager Role with experience in budget building.
  • Background in autonomous maintenance/reliability maintenance preferred.
  • USDA experience a plus
Job Duties:
  • Provide overall leadership, direction, and coordination for plant operations.
  • Provide adherence to all safety policies and procedures promoting a world-class safety culture.
  • Analyze and achieve strategies to improve performance, meeting and exceeding plant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Control and set standards for operations and help determine and correct bottlenecks.
  • Boost production asset capacity and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs.
  • Establish and implements financial and non-financial objectives including annual budget that serves as the plants operating plan.
  • Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products.
  • Determine and discuss conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
